Idaho Giving Garden

We mitigate food insecurity by growing garden-fresh produce for the Meridian Food Bank, fostering a healthier and more equitable food system for our community. By surrounding our crops with colorful blooms and fragrant herbs, we attract essential pollinators that help our harvests thrive while supporting an interconnected ecosystem.

Roots of Resilience

Our 2026 spring and early summer crops feature stunning Purple Majesty potatoes—known for their deep purple flesh & antioxidant-rich buttery flavor, fragrant garlic, snap peas, Blue Scotch kale, Buttercrunch lettuce, & spinach.

As the heat of the summer season settles in soon, the giving garden transforms into a lush landscape of climbing vines & sun-drenched favorites. We’ll be tending to a vertical forest of pole beans & cucumbers alongside high-yield bush beans, golden-summer squash, juicy tomatoes, and onions each reaching their peak flavor & ready to share.

Community Support

With the generous donations & support of the Boise Co-op’s Round-up Program, in April 2026, we’re expanding our impact by building a greenhouse and adding more raised garden beds . These will allow us to grow three seasons & increase harvest yields. Thank you!
